The transfer window officially opens in less than two weeks, but teams are wrapping up deals in various positions, including the dugout.

With the trio of Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Chelsea all sorted on the managerial front with Hansi Flick, Vincent Kompany, and Enzo Maresca, respectively, it’s down to the likes of Manchester United, who are still undecided about Erik Ten Hag, and Brighton to decide the way forward in that regard.

Napoli has named former Juventus and Chelsea manager Antonio Conte as their new head coaches after a tough season with three separate managers, while Liverpool have started their lives under their new manager, Arne Slot.

Tottenham isn’t making changes in the dugout; they must be happy with their Australian manager, Ange Postecoglou. There might be disparities in mentality following developments at the tail end of last season, but the club has released some notable players after their contracts expired at the end of the season.

Despite all the hype surrounding Ryan Sessegnon, injuries have limited the former England youth international. The club has now released him along with Croatian utility player Ivan Perisic, another academy product, Japhet Tanganga, and Eric Dier, who spent the latter part of last season on loan at Bayern.

Meanwhile, Tosin Adarabioyo has left Fulham as a free agent after his contract expires, and word on the street is that he will join Chelsea on a free transfer as the replacement for the departed Tiago Silva.

Chelsea suffered from defensive injuries last season, with the quartet of Benoit Badiashile, Wesley Fofana, Reece James, and Ben Chilwell all spending extended time on the sidelines. With Adarabioyo's decent fitness record, Chelsea fans won’t mind a durable body in defence.

Aside from the defence, the Blues have also slapped a fee above £50 million on Connor Gallagher, who could be sold this summer. Chelsea needs to raise a substantial amount of money to avoid FFP issues, and they have named the academy graduate as one of the sacrificial lambs.

Liverpool has extended the contract of Spanish goalkeeper Adrian for another season after his last contract expired at the end of the just-concluded season. The Kops, however, have said goodbye to Tiago Alcantara and Joel Matip.
