About GTA
The first GTA ever was released on November 28, 1997. Since then, there
have been many titles right up to this one. Every game in this series lets
players assume the character of a criminal in whatever big city in which it is
set. The character is a typical person trying to become one of the top members
of organized crime throughout the game. The kingpins and major idols in the
underworld city delegate various missions meant to be completed throughout the
game’s narrative. Regularly featured incidents include many violent crimes, not
excluding killing other characters.
In the later titles of GTA, the player is given a more rounded and
developed narrative. In these plots, they are forced to overcome unfortunate
events like being left for dead or betrayed. As a result, this motivates the
character to move up the ladder and finally become triumphant.
Many GTA series are usually set in imaginary parts of popular cities in
the United States during different eras. The games are divided into three
universes, namely, 2D, 3D, and HD. These universes share the names of different
brands, cities, and background characters that never fully appear throughout
the game, except on special occasions.
Some cities reenacted in the game include:
- San Andreas, a replica of San Francisco;
- Vice City, a mimic of Miami;
- Liberty City, an imitation of NYC (New York City).
The settings are not restricted to only the United States, as there are
others outside of it. For instance, we have some set in 1961 and 1969 London.
Grand Theft Auto VI
Many fans have been excited about the announced release of the sixth
official series of Grand Theft Auto. However, an incredible scenario has
happened recently. While fans are still anticipating the release of this new
game, the trailer has become available to the wide public.
Released on 5th December 2023, this trailer broke multiple Guinness
World Records. Top on its list of achievements, it became the most famous
non-music video on YouTube within a day. This wasn’t the end of it all. The fun
part is that its release alone achieved more than any video in the history of
YouTube and the Guinness World Records.
The trailer gained over 165 million views on YouTube compared to the last Grand Theft series, which just hit a hundred million views after 12 years of its release. This shows how much advancement and work has been put into making the series engaging and immersive. The following are the records that the trailer breaks in their details:
- With 90,421,491 views, it became the most-viewed video within a day in the history of YouTube;
- It became the most-watched non-music video on YouTube within a day. This position formerly belonged to the “Every Country on Earth Fights for $250,000” video by Mr. Beast;
- In a day, it got about 8.9 million likes; making it the most-liked game trailer on YouTube.
This achievement is quite interesting as it is just the first trailer
of many more before the game is finally accessible.
