Converge down due to 'connectivity issues', services now up

Converge ICT confirmed a major internet service outage on October 7, 2023. The telco successfully fixed the connectivity issues around 4 hours.

In a statement, Converge said its customers may have experienced "connectivity issues" that started at 10:30 AM.

"We have already addressed the issue, and our services are gradually being restored. We expect full recovery of your internet connectivity by noon today," said Converge in a tweet.

"If you are still experiencing connectivity issues after that time, please try to reboot your modem and do simple troubleshooting," added Converge.

At around 2 PM, Converge posted another tweet, stating that they had "restored internet services for 98.6% of our customers affected by the service interruption."

"We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused," said Converge.

According to Downdetector, a website that tracks service outages, subscribers in Metro Manila, Pampanga, Baguio, Tuguegarao, Camarines Sur, Cebu, Davao, and some parts of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, have reported outages.

At 10:35 AM, the platform received the most reports, with 3,324 reports indicating that Converge was down.
