Review: The Saved and the Sorry - Book #2 Kingston City Limits - T. Marie Alexander - June 2020
This book I have had sitting on my
Kindle for a while now as I read the first one a few years back - Christmas
Eve, 2019 - almost four years ago. In the first one The Lost and the Scarred,
we read our Roxie came to meet Wran and his brother Josh and about her evil
father James. Roxie also managed to get pregnant at 15 to Wran and her baby
Harley was uplifted and Josh had sent Wran away so he wouldn't get into trouble
as there is an age gap between them. Now in Book #2, Wran is back in Roxie's
life and she is also trying to be normal and attend school. The thing though is
that Wran and Roxie together, no matter how much they love each other and would
die for one another - the pairing is toxic with a capital T as they are two
co-dependant on each other and if Roxie is going get custody of her daughter
back then she has to get her head screwed on and follow the rules which she
can't when Wran is around. Enter Cade - he is Roxie's best friend and your
average Nice Rich Guy. To be honest, she is better off being with him - but she
loves Wran too much. I got a bit frustrated with the character Roxie in this
book as she keeps playing the two guys, it's like just choose one and be done -
stop messing with them, and to be honest, she is quite a selfish character.
Yes, terrible things happened to her, but it's like stop playing the victim and
having the guys fawn all over you and go save your daughter, Go and learn how
to be the best mum you can be instead of this helpless female who blames her
past for who she is - total victim mentality. I did like the character Josh
though, as at least he's busy playing the grown-up and wants to do the right
thing for everyone including little Harley. The book ends on a major
cliffhanger and leaves readers with another twisted ending to come to terms with
which leads readers to want to read Book #3 The Worthy and the Willful. If you

Limit Series by T. Marie Alexander as the angst in this rivals Tessa and
Hardin's in the After series.
