It’s the grand finale of the 2023–2024 Premier League season. Ten fixtures will go live simultaneously from 16:00 hrs. We take a look at the likely outcome of all the fixtures.
Arsenal vs. Everton: Arsenal to win.
The Emirates Stadium will host a Premier League trophy, either the original or a replica, for the first time since its construction. This is a testament to the Gunners' outstanding performance this season. However, with Everton playing for pride, Arsenal should easily win, but will it be enough?
Brentford vs. Newcastle: Newcastle to win.
This isn’t a dead rubber game; Newcastle is fighting for their lives. They managed to pick up just one point in two games to lose their top-six advantage. Now they must beat Brentford and hope Chelsea doesn’t win for them to seal the Europa League spot.
Brighton vs. Manchester United: Both teams score.
This game will be an interesting one. Goal difference is a big problem for Manchester United, so they will have to focus on the FA Cup as their route to Europe. Brighton will be delighted to send their manager off on a high, as news broke out on Saturday that Roberto De Zerbi will leave the club. This is a fascinating one.
Burnley vs. Nottingham Forest: Burnley to win.
Nottingham Forest can rest easy, knowing that Luton cannot win their game by ten goals. It’s not mathematically impossible, but Fulham will not concede that many, so Forest is as good as safe, and Burnley will give their final home game of the season everything they’ve got.
Chelsea vs. Bournemouth: Chelsea to win.
What a finale for the Blues! Considering how their season panned out, Mauricio Pochettino would rue the inconsistencies of the first half of the season badly, as they would have profited from Villa’s slips to make the top four. Bournemouth can be proud of their achievements, but Chelsea should win this one.
Crystal Palace vs. Aston Villa: Palace to beat Villa.
This one is likely to shock bookmakers; Palace will not fold for Aston Villa, and, with Villa safe in fourth, there are not too many points on the cards to fight for. Palace has been solid lately, and they will end the season on a high with a home win.
Liverpool vs. Wolves: Liverpool to win.
It’s Jurgen Klopp’s final game in charge of Liverpool; the emotional atmosphere could eat up anyone, but trust Liverpool to get the job done; they will beat Wolves. The visitors can hold their shoulders high, too; they have done a great job.
Luton vs. Fulham: Both teams score.
It is going to be a heartbreaking end to Luton’s sojourn in the Premier League. Even if they win, they won't survive the drop, and while Forest only needs a point to stay up, Luton's goal difference is too weak to contend with. Fulham’s season has been inconsistent; they will finish here and rest.
The prediction is that Manchester City will defeat West Ham.
This is the crucial match that will determine the champions, with City poised to secure their unprecedented fourth consecutive title. West Ham has nothing to fight for; they’re already preparing for life under Julien Lopetegui. As David Moyes walks, City should comfortably win.
Sheffield United vs. Tottenham: Tottenham to win.
From a position of comfort, Tottenham managed to lose their top-four advantage; they also fell flat to Manchester City in midweek to hand the title advantage to the reigning champions. There’s nothing outside pride for the Blades to fight for; they have been underwhelming all season.
