Allow us to introduce to you the legend of Pep Guardiola, the first manager in the English Premier League to win four straight titles.

The Premier League ended on Sunday with loads of fixtures happening at the same time; it only mattered at the Etihad and the Emirates; it was about the title race, and the Cityzens didn’t let it drag for too long before they expressed their intent.

EA Sports named Phil Foden the player of the season, despite many believing it should have gone to Cole Palmer for his Chelsea efforts or Declan Rice for leading Arsenal to victory, but the England playmaker impressed with two goals.

While Arsenal was struggling to find their feet in their home game against Everton, City was busy getting the job done. It looked like Arsenal was going to ruin their fans’ day after Idrissa Gueye’s free-kick went in off Declan Rice, but it didn’t take long before it got better, albeit too little too late.

Takehiro Tomiyasu drew Arsenal level; it coincided with West Ham's goal at the Etihad, a beauty of a strike from Mohammed Kudus to half the deficit, giving Arsenal hope, but it was again not for long, as City soon scored the third.

VAR chalked off the Hammers' goal, leaving the score at 3-1 for the champions. Arsenal finally got the winner, a contentious one from Kai Havertz, but it was too little, too late, as City wrapped it up.

Where did Arsenal lose the title? Many people are always quick to point out that unfortunate game at the Emirates against Aston Villa, but no one considers that they had Bayern Munich away in midweek and needed to prove a point.

You will have to take it back to the Christmas period, that week when they lost at home to West Ham—a game in which they created too many chances without taking any. You can also look at the VAR call that gave the Hammers their first goal, with replays indicating the ball had gone out.

They followed that with a diabolical performance at Fulham, arguably Arsenal’s worst game of the season. The 2-1 loss took them from the top of the table to the fourth spot; they had to chase from there, and it’s never going to be easy.

Manchester City has done what they know how to do best: they don't have problems chasing; they gave it their all and went on that run one more time. They have now won six of the last seven league titles; they’re on their way to immortality. Who is going to stop them?
