SB19's new single: Heroes of Light
The lyrics are about overcoming challenges and breaking through limits, which is a very inspiring message. The song is also very catchy and upbeat, and it makes an individual, especially Farlight 84 players, feel motivated to achieve their goals.
These lyrics convey a sense of determination, unity, and a relentless pursuit of a greater purpose. The verses speak of the challenges and pressures faced by the individuals, but they emphasize the need to break free from societal expectations and limitations. The pre-chorus encourages finding inner strength and seizing control of one's destiny together with others who share the same spirit. The chorus exclaims about the arrival of "breakthroughs on the horizon" and emphasizes the heroes of light, who are rebels fighting for freedom and warriors on a mission. The chant at the end reinforces the idea of unity and strength in the face of adversity. That being said, the lyrics are motivational and evoke a sense of empowerment and resilience.
About SB19
For the uninitiated, SB19 is a Filipino pop group that has taken the music industry by storm with their infectious tunes, incredible vocal harmonies, and captivating performances. The boy band, consisting of Pablo, Stell, Ken, Justin, and Josh, was formed in 2018 under ShowBT Philippines. With noticeable K-pop influences, SB19 is regarded as a leading act in contemporary Pinoy pop.
SB19 debuted in 2018 with the single "Tilaluha," but it was their dance practice video for the song "Go Up" that went viral in late 2019, catapulting them to stardom. Since then, SB19 has released numerous hit singles and albums and has won numerous awards, including the Billboard Music Award for Top Social Artist (Philippines).
Both in the Philippines and abroad, SB19 has a large and devoted fan base with the official fandom name A'TIN (pronounced as "eighteen" and in Filipino, pronounced as "AH-tin" means "ours"). The group will hold a fan meeting titled ONE ZONE to celebrate their fifth anniversary on October 28 at 7 p.m. at the Araneta Coliseum.
In their five years together, the group achieved great success, releasing chart-topping hits like "GENTO," touring internationally, making appearances on US morning shows, and making history as the first Filipino act to be nominated for a Billboard Music Award. They will be visiting Singapore, Thailand, and Dubai for the Asian leg of PAGTATAG! in November.
This October, the global phenomenon announced the launch of their company, 1Z Entertainment, and premiered their first podcast, "Atin Atin Lang."
