Albion Online has launched the "Wild Blood" Update, bringing Shapeshifter Staffs, Tracking, Awakened Weapons, and more. Check out the details of this latest patch below.
Albion Online "Wild Blood" Update - Key Features
- Shapeshifter Weapons - which allow players to transform into fantastical creatures mid-combat;
- Tracking - where those same beasts are hunted across the open world;
- Awakened Weapons, which can be imbued with uniquely powerful traits by their bearer;
- Seven new potions - further enriching combat and economics in Albion;
- Stunning new visuals - for Personal Islands, reflecting the characteristics of their biome

Shapeshifter Weapons
Albion has introduced a new line of Staff weapons called Shapeshifter Weapons, which offer players the ability to transform into fearsome beasts during combat, adding more options for combat builds and enhancing the "you are what you wear" system.
Tracking
Additionally, the game has added a new activity called Tracking, where groups can hunt these same creatures in the open world. These hunts can lead players on unexpected paths, but the reward for success is the possibility of obtaining rare, magical artifacts and ingredients.
Seven New Potions
The ingredients obtained through Tracking can be used to craft seven powerful new potions and Shapeshifter Artifact weapons. Additionally, potions can now be enchanted to new levels.
Awakened Weapons
Awakened Weapons are imbued with unique combinations of traits, which bestow immense strength upon their wielders. Although these weapons may be lost in combat, their traits will remain, serving as a lasting testament to the weapon's history and that of its owner.
More Updates
Players can now own multiple Personal Islands, each with stunning new visuals that match the biome of the city they are attached to. Additionally, farming bonuses have been introduced for each biome, which promotes trade throughout Albion and encourages economic specialization.
Randomized Dungeons now feature new visuals, reworked layouts, and colossal enemies.
The Death Recap allows players to review their recent combat defeats in order to improve their skills before jumping back into battle.
Notably, with this update, Windows 7 and 8 operating systems are no longer supported.
